We provide continue education and resources to help our members stay current in trends, news, laws, green initiatives and issues affecting community associations in Georgia. CAI's Community Association Law Seminar is the industry's premier event exploring case law and emerging trends impacting the community association housing model. It is brought to you by the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL), one of the most respected groups of community association law professionals in the world. January 24: "Risky Business: Education Seminar

6 CE Credits! The Education Seminar is an annual all day event for managers to earn their continuing learning credits. There is a morning session and afternoon session followed by a cocktail reception. This is a sponsored event by our Business Partners and No Cost to our Manager Members.

January 28: Homeowner Leader Roundtable Event

NEW THIS YEAR! Were you elected or "voluntold" to be on your HOA Board and not sure what to do or want to improve your board? Join the CAI Education Committee for the first ever Homeowner Leader Roundtable Event! February 6-8: M100: The Essentials of Community Association Management

This comprehensive community association management course provides practical overview for new managers, an essential review for veteran managers and an advanced course for board members. February 27: CMCA Prep Class

 Back by popular demand! Planning on taking the CMCA exam? CAI-Georgia is lucky to have some of the top managers in the country and we want to do everything we can to continue this trend and help add some credentials to your name! This review session will prepare community managers to take the CMCA exam (3 hour exam, 120 multiple choice exam). This class will be taught by Thomas C. Englbom, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, ARM, CPM, Ph.D. 


 March 7: Homeowner Leadership Board Development Workshop

 6 CE Credits! Whether you live in a condominium, homeowners association (HOA) or other type of community, this class  highlights what every board member needs to know to serve effectively. This class is highly recommended for people new to the industry. 

 March 12: M205: Risk Management

This course shows you how to prepare for your community's future by identifying insurance risks and addressing critical issues. Learn how to optimize your community's risk management program and gain strategies and resources for evaluating property coverage, reporting losses and managing claims. May 7-8: M206: Financial Management


Learn how to best manage your association's money. This course gives you the tools to understand and apply the principles of financial management to your community association. You'll learn the entire budget process, from identifying line items to reconciling accounts to gaining board approval. You'll also learn how to analyze and report on association finances.

May 14: Green Initiative Class


3 CE Credits! Through a Jeopardy game format, managers and homeowner leaders will define, identify and recognize better and best practices that relate to landscaping, cleaning/janitorial services, plumbing, recycling and waste management, storm water and drainage, pools, pest control, lighting/environmental and energy efficiency. They will discuss proper maintenance schedules and compare standard practices with more sustainable approaches that can be applied and overseen by the community association manager.


June 10-13: CAI Annual Conference

July 10: M202: Association Communications

Learn key communication techniques to improve resident and board relations. This course offers communication strategies that will benefit both new and experienced managers and provide the skills to better understand owners and volunteers. You'll learn the basics of good customer service and gain the tools to effectively handle complaints, write newsletters and reports and manage public relations.
